Stuck? I Can Be Your GPS

I just love a good to-do list, don’t you? They’re so satisfying.

Except when they’re not.

Those are the lists with too many tasks to count. The pie-in-the-sky, boil-the-ocean kinds of lists that are so unrealistic you fail at them before you even get to check off the first item.

What’s worse than that?

The blank list.

This is the list that comes from vapor lock

You know the feeling.

You have a goal with so many interconnected pieces that you don’t know where to start. Or you have so many ideas about what you want to accomplish that you can’t begin to prioritize them.

That’s enough to halt your pen in its tracks. To keep your list blank forever.

I’ve had clients come to me from both ends of this spectrum.

They know the result they want, but they get stuck churning on the how – where to start, what to do first. Many of them stay here trying to DIY it for a long time… with to-do lists that are either endless or entirely blank.

Once they decide to get my help, they might still have concerns.

What will their lives look like? Will there be any joy in eating anymore? (yes) Will they be able to go out to dinner (yes), do the social activities they love (yes), have chocolate just because (yes!). Am I going to force them to eat foods they don’t like and forbid them from eating foods they enjoy? (no!)

Think of me like a GPS.

You tell your GPS where you want to go and it suggests the route that’s the most direct with the fewest obstacles.

That’s what I do.

I listen to my clients’ goals and develop a customized plan to help them get there.

With a GPS, you’re still in the driver’s seat, just like my clients. You can choose to take a different turn if you want. The GPS isn’t going to force your car to turn back, but it is going to offer to reroute you and get you back on track.

That’s what I do.

Working with my clients is a collaborative process. At every session, we evaluate what’s working and what might not be. Then we course correct so they keep moving in the right direction.

If you’re ready to make the changes that have been on your list – or you don’t even know what to put on that list in the first place – click to request your free session. Because the best place to start on any journey is right where you are.

Until next time… eat well!
